Doesn’t matter if another country considers our actions an act of war. And Congress declaring war does not instill in the President his powers as Commander in Chief. The Constitution does.

Read my comment further down. The President does not require authorization to command the military. It was for ISIS, not Syria/Assad. And the authorization for use of force (not required by the constitution) was written to make it impotent to win the conflict.

I didn’t. He did drop bombs in Syria. On ISIS. But he made an ass of himself and America with his red line comment to Assad, and following it up with nothing. But that’s what you get when you elect a community organizer to run the country.

Why be conflicted. You don’t have to like Trump. Sometimes he will do things that are the right thing.

I find Trump to be a blowhard too, but for tonight I’m just glad that we’re trying to do something to stop this kind of crap. The world is imperfect, and a meaningful action like this is needed to prevent the random killing of innocent people.
