and I’m just going to sit here in the grays ignored like the other 3 people who pointed out that you got the name of her memoir wrong and then ignored the correction, edited the post as if you hadn’t screwed up. la la la there is no way anyone will un-gray this.
I’m going to ask again. You got two corrections in the comments, one was spelling and one was a pretty big error in the title of Patti Smith’s Pulitzer prize winning memoir and, to your credit, you changed the article to reflect the errors. However, they were errors. People read the article with said errors, and you…
Oh, I see you fixed the title of the memoir. Where is the acknowledgement of the change and error? For a “news” site that constantly holds other parts of the media to task for their mistakes, shouldn’t you explicitly admit your own?
Mamet’s character on Mad Men was completely different to the point that I didn’t even realize it was the same actress. She’s pretty talented.
I view Zosia as a somewhat “unknown quantity”. She seems pretty talented and she certainly can inhabit a character. Shosh could be a one dimensional, screeching, easily tuned out, walk on of a character but she’s given her heart, and dignity. Of all the Girls I see less Zosia/more Shosh. I can’t say that for the rest.…
I get happier each day my mom refused to let play. She knew me too well, my playing style in other sports would’ve been disastrous for my brain
Sorry Kevin, er, Ray, this ain’t Iowa.
Yeah, I’m really annoyed by people’s reliance on memes to express themselves and the fact that this behavior is so widely encouraged and rewarded.
Uh, what?
I’m all for mocking gun nuts, too.
Twitter has made journalists even lazier than they already were, if such was possible, simply because they don’t need to interview someone for a quote—they just copy-and-paste tweets.
“This is good Kinja” is also popular among the regulars. Idk why but it's like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Heh, I kinda like that term.
I thought I was the only one who noticed this! The Gawker regular commenters (and by regular I mean freaks who comment dozens/hundreds of times per day within minutes of each post) are masters of these.
Pretty cool that you’re able to write in this position! Kidding aside though I was thinking about how AIM might have been the apex of social media when I clicked on this. It actually enhanced the way I compose thoughts and my personal relationships. Can’t say that about any platform since.
