Mathematically, not really. 90% of 15,000 miles per year is 13,500 miles. At 30MPG, that 450 gallons of gas a year. 450 * $2.50 is $1,125 in fuel savings. Speaking as a guy who rents cars about 90 days a year, $1,125 in savings will get spent pretty quickly on rentals for road trips.
