How is it absurdist? Besides the food riots its mirrored the past few months perfectly.

People were calling that from the start though, including io9, but it certainly would have been more interesting if it turned out he was from the Prime universe all along. That said, there were plenty of people complaining they didn’t want dark characters in their Star Trek, so they’re damned if they do, damned if

This looks like that golden nugget of Deep Rising/Cube/Virus (and more recently Life) and I’m 100% in.

Goyer nooooo

PLENTY GRIMDARK!

I thought I’d seen this but now realise I was thinking of RofLD 3, which I loved the hell out of. Now I know what I’m doing this weekend!

The art is what got me into it!

This was *literally* my biggest fear as a kid. I was wandering my parents house when I was young and saw some program on the TV - people standing by their shut down cars in the desert, a large sun on the horizon, subtitles talking about the sun expanding and boiling the world - and had intense nightmares for years. In

When *was* the last traditional Trek film?

You’ve just dragged that up from the deepest corners of my brain, thanks.

It's funny you mention reading, because I hear myself talking when I read things, unless its narrative where I read in the characters voices and accents.

Bezos, who’s worth an estimated $117 billion, recently donated $690,000 to help Australia battle its bushfires, the equivalent of an average American donating less than a dollar.

Still haven’t seen the first one because I can’t find it for digital rental on the UK, which sucks.

Go on

This looks very Fantastic Beasts to me. Not entirely sure I’m happy with the Cheery swap because I love her character, though I guess they’d risk just having dwarfs in drag - what they’ve done here is more inclusive I suppose. All in all love the casting so far, but it will never trump the Ankh-Morpork in my head.

Cheery is now not a dwarf, it says right in the article.

Even as a kid, I did, and still do, fucking hate Neelix.

Yeah, I don’t care enough to cause a stink over it, but I’m not a fan of Ol’Space Legolas over here.

Thanks for posting this, I been meaning to watch the scene again after finishing the film!

Haha which one was that?!
