Some awesome direction and stuff, I thought, but yeah...it’s such a confident film, you get the impression they don’t realise how deaf some of the choices are.

For sure, it’s a mess of a film and I don’t think the makers realise this.

Yeah, pretty much agree on this. The Hellboy films don’t hold up, and I don’t really think they’re good representations of the comics either. Never really rate much of Del Toros work, though did think Crimson Peak was very, very good.
