I agree completely about the Anthem. I watch tons of sports and, frankly, when I hear the Anthem anymore I don’t even connect it with the country. I connect it with wasting time before the game.

True, but I think the point of “Where are the stories bagging on Hillary at?” is a good one. Since the demise of Gawker, all the other sites (Jalopnik, Gizmodo/IO9, Deadspin) are plastered with all this shit that, IMO, shouldn’t be blogged on those sites. It’s diluting what made those sites fun.
By the same measure, how many Twitter followers do you think the Mariners’ backup catcher had? You only know what he tweeted because Deadspin has a bug up its ass about it.
Here, Jalopnik, Gizmodo, etc. Yeah, I tend to go to those sites because they (at least used to be) devoted to certain subjects that didn’t include dipshit outrage politics. There’s plenty of other places to go for that.
