It truly is, ive seen two, and from what people that have driven them tell me, its a riot, and im talking about FD2 type R, no the super rare Mugen RR.

Are you crazy? the ‘06-’11 civic IS incredible, stout high revving engine, shares a lot with the JDM only Type R FD2, great suspension and handling and is lightweight.

The 12-15 Si, albeit more heavier, has great handling capabilities and the engine can easily reach 280-300whp n/a with a few mods.

And the new Type R +

I dream of owning a Evo 4-5-6... last year a friend sold a Tommy Makinen 6.5 with lots of goodies for 13k, and the thing had 600whp and it was all complete interior, exterior, in great condition.

I told him, this thing will sell for 30k+ in a couple of years.

Like in older AND newer generations you could get a base civic with a slow as molasses engine but with the same handling capabilities OR a specced up version with a high rpm vtec fun n/a engine.

thats awesome! also Ive seen that the engine and gearbox are pretty stout, ive seen several racing on youtube, with jb4 tunes, downpipes, hybrd turbos etc doing fair fight to SRT 392s and mustangs.

Also, I love the styling of these cars.

There was a press release when the Type-S concept released, that specified the engines they were testing and they especifically said:

those were all n/a. The new TLX will be TT, so I guess there would be a Type S variant with close to 400hp.

Also, the new V6 is .5l smaller, so dont expect to receive a massive bump while still being n/a.

ALSO, a DCT or modern Auto, IS better, not just because its quicker, but because they are more capable, comfortable and get better mileage.

In real world it would be slower, I bet whatever you want that a DCT GTR will be way quicker out of stoplights, stop signs, dig racing, etc than a GTR with a Manual

Its less capable, because it would make handling higher horsepower more difficult and electronic assist works best if in control of the transmission AFAIK.
