Holy shit, those pics are incredible!
Holy shit, those pics are incredible!
It truly is, ive seen two, and from what people that have driven them tell me, its a riot, and im talking about FD2 type R, no the super rare Mugen RR.
Are you crazy? the ‘06-’11 civic IS incredible, stout high revving engine, shares a lot with the JDM only Type R FD2, great suspension and handling and is lightweight.
The 12-15 Si, albeit more heavier, has great handling capabilities and the engine can easily reach 280-300whp n/a with a few mods.
And the new Type R +…
I dream of owning a Evo 4-5-6... last year a friend sold a Tommy Makinen 6.5 with lots of goodies for 13k, and the thing had 600whp and it was all complete interior, exterior, in great condition.
I told him, this thing will sell for 30k+ in a couple of years.
lol the EP3 + the 7th gen Civic is such an awful combo haha.
Like in older AND newer generations you could get a base civic with a slow as molasses engine but with the same handling capabilities OR a specced up version with a high rpm vtec fun n/a engine.
In those days you could get the 7th gen civic, which was more…
the thing with EP3's in the US is that they came with the crappy ass K20A3 from the base RSX.
Not “real Vtec” as some say, long ass gearbox and none of the euro Type R goodies.
perfectly said. they always have to complain about something to excuse the fact that they wont ever own one. wont commit to it being low, consuming more gas, getting attention, etc.
They want it to be used from the factory with a 10year bumper to bumper warranty, want it to be analogue, under 2500 pounds, with 12…
Oof, nice roast.
Also, dont forget the classic:
BMW/Mercedes/Audi releases a new car:
ITS UGLY (if its a new design) or ITS BORING (if not a completely new design)
Hyundai/Kia releases a new car:
I can see a litle bit of mercedes in the front grill, a little bit of audi in the c pillar, a touch of ford in the rear bumper, and kind of…
santa clause: “my taste is objective, i think it’s ugly, how can anyone deny that my taste is wrong?”
Exactly! Im by no means a KDM fanboy, but I appreciate good stuff no matter where it comes from.
This car is literally what lots of “enthusiasts” have been asking, a Sport sedan with a liftback, a tunable engine+transmission, solid performance at a great value, and it happens to be a looker too!
And yes, Im too fond…
thats awesome! also Ive seen that the engine and gearbox are pretty stout, ive seen several racing on youtube, with jb4 tunes, downpipes, hybrd turbos etc doing fair fight to SRT 392s and mustangs.
Also, I love the styling of these cars.
I pretty much see Hyundai/Kia as the 80s/90s japanese brands that were innovating…
My maaaan! how are you enjoying it? I love it, I wish I could afford it! especially to show support to Kia for doing a product I like a lot.
Its rare to see someone owning a korean car on these parts of the internet, the badge snobbery is too much around here.
Z cars dont need an inline 6, also a new Z sports car with a DCT cant come soon enough.
Also, boosted engines are fun AF, I daily an EK hatch with a turboed B16.
There was a press release when the Type-S concept released, that specified the engines they were testing and they especifically said:
those were all n/a. The new TLX will be TT, so I guess there would be a Type S variant with close to 400hp.
Also, the new V6 is .5l smaller, so dont expect to receive a massive bump while still being n/a.
By the cars youre mentioning, I sense you are not living in the present.
As I said above, dont try to pass your opinions and taste as a fact.
Manuals get worse gas mileage than modern automatics, that is a fact.
Also, the 911 a grand tourer? yeah right especially with the roomy back seats, long gearing, plush suspension and the huge frunk, right?
Like I said, mental gymnastics right there.…
A grand touring what? are you sure about that? the mental gymnastics are strong on you... by your logic, the 911 is a grand tourer as well lol.
ALSO, a DCT or modern Auto, IS better, not just because its quicker, but because they are more capable, comfortable and get better mileage.
Now, YOU might prefer a manual and…
In real world it would be slower, I bet whatever you want that a DCT GTR will be way quicker out of stoplights, stop signs, dig racing, etc than a GTR with a Manual
Its less capable, because it would make handling higher horsepower more difficult and electronic assist works best if in control of the transmission AFAIK.
I…
