@Dominic5521: Airplanes can atomize when they crash into things at high speeds. If it hit the side of something quite rocky, it may look very unplanelike indeed.

@Dominic5521: There must be a bunch of crashed aircrafts in Alaska if they "think" they've found the wreckage. Are they even keeping track?
