I sympathize with Frank, even when he is sometimes a bit clueless. Part of it is that it’s not like there’s a book on how to deal with your wife being thrown back in time and tormented by a sadistic relative of yours who shares the same face as you. So yeah, I can see there being some tension there. We also don’t know

I think a lot of people underestimate how hard it would be for Claire to be a single mom in 1948, even with an inheritance from her uncle. How would she explain where the dad was? Even the truth- he’s dead- would raise questions if anyone tried to look into it.

Hmm. I’m not a hater to Frank, but I wish more could have been said at first that Claire married him super young (19, I think?) and he was, essentially, a stand-in for the uncle that raised her. She did most of her growing up during their separation during the war and I think their marriage naturally would have dulled

I’ve always had sympathy for Frank, but Claire didn’t intend to fall in love with Jamie. Also, depending on how you look at it, she was married to Jamie first. ;)

That’s probably not it.

Our reaction to 9/11 ensured our doom. We can’t afford to stay in the Middle East, and every day longer we stay, we make it worse for when we’re inevitably forced to leave.

I stopped watching regularly soon after Sorkin left and only periodically checked in. This past year we did a rewatch of the whole series. Man, season five was a slog, but the final season picked up somewhat with the whole election plot. That stuff was pretty interesting and well done, but the rest was sub-par

This article serves as a reminder of just how good Six Feet Under could be. And also that around 2004 HBO had a murderer’s row of shows.

I still haven’t seen any directions on how to merge a legacy account, so I’m not getting dozens of years-old notifications. However, I can assure you, it’s still impossible to follow conversations even without those distractions.

Yes, Prince Anders should be the romantic rival to all Disney Princes from now on. It’s the new Prince Anders Cinematic Universe, or “PACU” for the fans.

Hey AV Club,

People voted for Obama just so they’d get a free homophone.

I heard trump is trying to ban homophones from the military

Fox News viewers don’t rally behind the personalities from Fox. They rally behind Fox itself, because it represents the white homogeneity that they actually care about. Megyn Kelly on Fox News was a powerhouse. Megyn Kelly on some other network is redundant.

FOX News had lots of conservative blonde spokesmodels—all work and no play made Roger Ailes a dull boy, after all—but Kelly carried the distinction between 2012 and 2016 of being the one opinion host on the network who sometimes—not often, but every once in a while—looked askance at the party line.

She was feminist, in that she objected to Trump insulting her personally.

Could he have, though? With the way this country is going, tape of him saying the n-word may have actually given Trump more support with his base.

She stood out at FOX News because she was what passed for ethical and thoughtful there. Sadly for her, being the most ethical person at FOX News doesn’t actually make someone an ethical person in the rest of the world. Someone who looks thoughtful standing next to Hannity and O’Reilly still has plenty of space to be a

Mark Burnett, the producer of The Apprentice could have stopped this entire presidency from ever happening.

If you can watch this without wanting to kill yourself I applaud you.
