The Tracker just needs the graphics on the side... like Suzuki did! (Maybe they started that in the 80's though. hmm).

Yes, Explorer and Taurus are 90's icons, but lets not sleep on the Dodge Neon.

Who was this for...

Piech was also the driving force behind the waaaaay-over engineered first-generation Toureg.

Its truly bananas how terrible the interiors of Chrysler group products were in this era. It’s like they saw the plastics on 90s cars interiors and thought we could do way worse, then reverse engineered the plastic used in old fisher price toys.

I wouldn’t say terrible car, however; the early Volvo XC90 had a Yamaha V8 that eventually found its way into race cars, boats, and the S80 sedan.

I am fascinated with this era of Dodge, because their overall build and interior quality were so cynically bad that it seemed like a sort of inside joke by the automaker. The SRT8 Jeep was the same way - it was like they said “yeah we know it’s crap, but you’re gonna buy it anyway huh? what else are you gonna do, get

A Mazda Millenia S that hasn’t been trashed and has reasonably low miles for the age. It’s so rare as a car in general, I doubt most car people know that Mazda made a supercharged V6 as far back as 1995, despite how many timres Jalopnik has written about it. Since this car never ended up being the herald of Mazda’s

Came here to say this, except same year Aero...

BaT has Mazdaspeed Miatas semi-regularly and they don’t go for stupid money. I owned one for a time. It wasn’t the greatest for autox thanks to the extremely short gearing for the 6sp. You were constantly shifting up or down between 2nd and 3rd...some of the courses I saw with longer stretches would see 4th(!).

Geez, you want the list or just the top 10?

So, there is a lot to process here. It’s a manual wagon in good shape which is definitely a good thing.

The FF?

First, I am not a parent, nor am I expecting to ever be a parent. Buying a car for a teenager can foster a sense of entitlement, this is to be discouraged. I think the teenager should be getting a job (if their grades are good enough to permit the time away from study) and buying their own car. I would never co-sign a

I’m of so many minds on this. I drove crazy shit as a young person - cars that could go too fast, cars that were not known for their stopping ability, muscle cars that were good when going straight and terrifying when not, little Brit and Italian convertibles that could literally drive under a semi, rear-wheel drive

Oh, I would agree, and part of it is that as the CUV has risen to prominence the ordinary car has gotten much lower and rougher-riding to compensate. I mean, just look at the 3-series estate from the ‘80s compared to today:

Wow, if only there were a practical alternative to the compact SUV that wouldn’t suck to drive and had just as much space?

I want an e-V60.  That’s all.  Come on Volvo.

thank goodness someone is finally paying attention to the massively underserved luxury EV segment

This will include three SUVs, two sedans
