Change the oil on time and drive it like you hate it and it can come close. Most people don’t realize that rotaries pull oil from the sump and inject it into the rotor housing with the fuel. Dirty/old oil doesn’t burn clean and isnt good at it’s one job, coupled with the fact that old oil clogs up the oil

maybe the killer app to a rotary engine is just make them simple to maintain / access. if you can pull the engine in 30 minutes strip it down redo the seal in a few hours and slap it back in I guess the response to “but the apex seals” would be “no big deal”.  But thats a tough selling point car salesman : “ we made

I test drove a Ford Bronco 2-door a few days before Christmas. It is the perfect car for me at this stage in my life, and this particular example ticked all of the necessary boxes. It was right there, on the lot, ready to go, perfect.

Man, that engine’s faults go way beyond apex seals. The Renesis tends to cook its side seals much earlier.

Oh my god, the RX8. It’s such a great car let down by the worst engine ever made.

My beloved 2016 V60 Polestar was ruined by the choice to change from the prototype’s 500+HP and 6spd manual to the production’s 345hp and 6spd auto.

I mean, they effectively are, since the relationship is with BMW primarily, and both cars use components supplied by BMW factories elsewhere. That said, Toyota had more of a hand in developing the Supra than you’d think.

The Honda S2000.

Apex seals.

Tesla Model 3. I like the size, the price, the exterior styling, and could, I guess, live with the interior. I can afford it, and in 2 or 3 years will likely be looking for something electric. But the company owner is a deal breaking flaw for me (and especially my wife).

Unfortunately, the busybody lawmakers are considering two new completely unnecessary laws now. In Washington, they want to make it so you can’t turn right on red within 1000 feet of schools, or whatever vagely defined community places. And in “always cash hungry” Oregon, they want to remove the town size limit on

I was thinking about commenting that in Kentucky we have a weird accepted local quirk that after a light turns red you can still get 2 or 3 cars through it.

Give us the wail of the Flying Dorito again and make us all jump up and down like the nine year old children that we still are. Put that rotary in a Mazda 2.

‘81 Seville V8-6-4. Hands down.

It is one of those if you know what you are buying, then it is the right price. It isn’t a car for mass market buyers, or for people who don’t know what they are getting into, but if you want a finicky Italian import, for whatever reason, then this is the price you are gonna pay. It is both an NP and a ND depending on

Yeah, you can tell the world has gotten into a depressing place style and color wise, when beige is an exciting choice.

ah yes, all the kids are clamoring for beige.

You’re wrong and you should feel bad.

I’ve owned both the 2.5 NA and the 2.3 S. The 2.5 sounded great and never felt underpowered, which meant the 2.3 with it’s supercharger whine and great acceleration was a pleasant surprise. My only gripe with the model as a whole is that parts are hard to come by, especially when people think it’s a 626.
