theres that good old "if I say liberty over and over I win and that's just logic" thinking at work!

$4.37 today in Oakland for premium. About a dollar increase. We’re surrounded by oil refineries and somehow still manage to get hosed.

I just love how the price of gas purchased months ago is somehow affected by an event that happened days ago.

My eyes tear up at every reveal of a “new” Enterprise. Make of that what you will.

Where are we on whether 5G will be worth it? It seems to have a lot of compromises and is already causing a bunch of headaches. The infrastructure roll out is apparently going to be massive, because some 5G wavelengths can be blocked by anything, including air. Cell phone service in my area has gotten horrible, and

Not exactly Alex Trebek, but I’ve been waiting for a chance to share a positive story out of Jeopardy.

Me and my roommate have both been in incredibly terrible financial, emotional, and mentally damaging situations. We moved in together during a huge tumult which involved us losing 95% of our social circle, people we considered adoptive parents, and various other issues. We both have mental health issues as well, with

he screams at her until she cries. she doesn't owe him shit.

If you add in the fact that the fingerprint sensor also doubled to scroll through notifications it was actually really useful. I liked how it was orientated on the Note8, with the Note9 when they turned it horizontal really hurt the ability to use it.

I’m not being snarky, but can someone explain to me why I would want a phone with no bezel? Is this just some arbitrary goal that tech people have come up with—a phone that is all screen? Because I’ve existed this long with a little bezel and things have been fine. I’m not saying don’t strive to innovate, but why is

Nothing wrong with having the fingerprint sensor on the back. Each configuration comes with its own set of pros and cons.

“To accomplish both requires either a camera that can recognize your face or a fingerprint reader that works through the display.”

The one problem I’ve had with the new Android Auto is that I hate having to scroll through a big menu to find the app you want to launch. The old navigation made it easier to find your audio apps. It wouldn’t be so bad if Auto gave you the option to remove apps you never use in the car from the menu. At least it does

I’ve seen reports on reddit about people losing the setting after running it for a few weeks. It doesn’t just turn off the setting actually disappears.

I’ve been using it on my Pixel 3 for a few weeks and I really like it.  At first I missed the launch page but having audio controls on the map is amazing.

I tend to disagree about taking 285 vs. the interstates through town. I have made the trip between Augusta and Nashville (20 west to 75 north and vice versa) numerous times, and despite the traffic in the 75/85 stretch it’s still generally faster than 285.

Atlanta native here... it’s an old trope, but:

For people who have two google accounts and an android phone I would also recommend installing ‘Island’ which allows you to create a work profile for your second account, that way you can clone apps and use the second for your second profile. I do that to make it easier for two google voice numbers.

It doesn’t work on Android. It’s iOS-only.

You might want to mention this is an iOS-specific feature only.

Happened to me a few times.
