I never tire of the time my old roommate said he thought his name was “Neil” the entire time.

“You can either take the red fish or the blue fish.”
I had the original AutoDuel on my old Apple II. There was a blackjack mini game that was designed as an additional way to raise funds to upgrade your vehicles. Once I started playing that I never raced again.
My young daughter used to fire up Burnout Paradise and pretend she was dropping her kids off at school, then driving to work. She obeyed all traffic laws. It was infuriating to watch.
I have nowhere else to tell this story, so I’m going to tell it here.
I don’t want to argue with you, you have great taste. The Fragile is a great record, to be sure, but I have always thought The Downward Spiral is probably NIN’s most important/influential record, by far. My fave is the remix album Further Down the Spiral.
The Fragile is not the Wall. The Downward Spiral, maybe...
If that’s your jam you really should check out Japandroids. Two guys that sound like, at minimum, three.
If you didn’t know who George Springer was before tonight then maybe you’re not much a baseball fan. He’s a 27 year-old All-Star CF (former first round pick) who hit 34 HRs from the leadoff spot this year (in only 140 games). He has 99 career homers in about three seasons worth of career games. I saw that too and it’s way too late to Google but I think you have to drop it before you touch first base and if it’s broken you have to drop it as soon as possible or before Roger Clemens throws the other end back at you, whichever occurs first.
A man’s head disappeared!
We also won free tacos!
I am high on baseball and this is amazing:
It did? Because I remember him winning a WS and not blowing a single save the whole season/post season with the Phillies. We must have different definitions of careers disappearing.
The dementia angle is a strong one.
Yoda is the poor mans Jar Jar Binks.
My friend put it best when describing Muse: “They’re 3 guys who sound like 6 guys.” I caught them live once at Coachella, and indeed the description held true.
