I had a friend call me and ask me, after just buying Valhalla, if he should play all of Origins and Odyssey first so he knows the modern day story going into Valhalla. I responded to him, “I don’t think a single person, even Ubisoft, cares about that timeline. Also why are you deciding this now? Also Odyssey is like

Funny you say that:

LMAO bruh proof you didn’t read that article. My character was not the thumbnail. It’s a tiefling.

Thank you! It’s my biggest gripe, being supportive of diversity, but every day reading about it Only from the american perspective. It’s hard to support kotaku writers on the black issue if that’s the only diversity they see. The witcher 3 was the only game I recall that had positive arab people (and the girl in

Y’know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a developer share what the average character would look like based on user data. I’d love to see that for more games.

Yeah, most games give you a choice between stubble, and straight beard hair, maybe with a couple of lengths if you’re lucky.  I’m a white guy with a slightly curly beard, and even I have a hard time finding something that looks like my facial hair.

How are the beard options? That’s the part of character creators that usually disappoints me.

I couldn’t help it. It just popped in there.

I think it’s more like the Dead Space of movies, which is sort of what people were saying when they first saw the trailer. I liked Pandorum a lot, though - I went into it expecting absolutely nothing and I think the moment that won me over 100% was when they manage to take down one of the creatures and then they don’t

It still holds up, and there’s a ton of BTS stuff Cecil Trachtenberg touched on a few years back that’s also worth a watch:

This show is a cultural touchstone for me, to the point where I still buy Sailor Moon merchandise as a 36 year old man.

This was a fantastic article. Thank you for this. ^^

I remember being an 8 year old little gay boy and having so much anger because I knew I was different, then I met Sailor Mars in one of the early episodes who also was filled with so much rage and I remember feeling very seen and heard, and watched her overcome that anger with friends. It’s strange that recognition

I absolutely love him! The fact that he basically made a name for himself through hard work and sticking to what he does best really gives me hope that other potential VO-hopefuls can do the same.

I’m looking forward to FF16 (still can’t believe that’s real already), as much as anybody, but a while back ProZD helped us finally confirm, with the help of Hironobu Sakaguchi, the real truth about Final Fantasy.
