Your complaining about Hamilton “whining” when he was dealing with an obviously adverse situation and able to get on with it despite the radio chatter is already a bit silly but it really gets out of sorts

That’s not true everywhere. I’ve done title searches in quite a few states that allow HOAs to file liens for both assessments *and* fines, all *without* going to court and getting a judgment.

It’s a state-by-state thing. Up until about a decade ago, you could foreclose here in Texas on even tiny unpaid fines (a lady in Houston lost her house over a couple hundred bucks), which is why the state legislature finally put an end to it.
