RB4 kept the rhythm game era going for much longer than I expected back in 2013, so I can’t complain. Still, it’s sad to see the era end for real now. Yeah I bought the first game because that’s what I thought we were getting! Now that I realize it’s actually some alternate timeline nonsense where the only thing seperating it from the most generic AO3 fan fiction is the lack of a self-insert furry OC, I am not going to be getting parts 2 or 3.

Man, FFVII is already pretty confusing and opaque in parts, but at least we’ve had a couple decades to become acquainted with it. Remake/Rebirth trying to retrofit the story to Frankenstein together every piece of lore and subsequent branch of the story is making this whole thing into a convoluted mess.

These remakes aren't canon and change nothing.
