Going on 15 years at a company you use every single day, and I still get invited out to lunch every day and happy hour every week. There’s a way to approach things with levity that ingratiates you to people (at least, it does if you’re a straight, cis, white, male, like me). I’m sorry you are unable to achieve it (or,

As a dude (in tech, even), I know I don’t NEED to tell you this, but if it reassures you to have it confirmed: this 100% happens ALL THE TIME, and about 80% of the time, it’s honestly about circumstance, not about excluding anyone.

Fucking finally. Hopefully more tech companies will take this lead and drop the cloak-and-dagger shit.

I’m just excited for the fan remake that will rip all of these Square-produced assets and remake the original game. Towns, characters, set pieces, score... all of that would have made any other fan remake an almost impossible task. Now, though? Now it’s just creating the battle system, and introducing a dialog display

The second I read that they were changing combat, I knew this wasn’t going to be the FFVII that anyone was looking for.

You’re still missing the point. Their policy gave them total autonomy. It’s not, as you said, a policy that would have them kick off anyone that used hateful content. It was a policy that let YouTube determine if something was hateful, and then that would determine if it violated the policy.

I can read just fine. Can you?

I don’t know. I don’t watch Maza’s content. If YouTube comes out and says “we found language that was clearly hurtful” about Maza’s videos then, yes, I would expect them to adhere to their policies for his content as well.

It’s, literally, what YouTube says they’ll do for the actions they admitted he did. Why would you want a company to be able to selectively enforce it’s policies?

Shut.

Jesus this gameplay looks awful. Could it be any more by-the-numbers? Are we playing Nathan Drake as a jedi?

God damn. 4D chess!

Hey! A nice callout for Chris and Sarah! Their show, The Other Two, is pretty funny!

The most charitable reading is that he was talking about the Mars mission, because NASA has a program called “Moon to Mars” which defines getting to Mars via lots of space missions to the moon, and then a bunch more intermediary missions.

Almost my experience except swap “CreditKarma” for “H&R Block”. I’d be fine with whatever the government puts up, so long as it’s as easy and intuitive as TurboTax or the CreditKarma solutions.

And earmark it for abortion procedures, the same way the government earmarks federal money for non-abortion services.

Latency would become a non-issue because all of the instances of the game could run on the same servers* in Stadia, which could then normalize the latency so that everything stays “fair”. That goes for input as well as display.

Ah! Yeah, sorry, I should have been more specific: This would necessarily be a long-haul strategy. You can’t expect your platform to work at professional-grade levels at the start of the rollout. You would need to collect a TON of data and consume it in order to be able to tweak the platform to best suit the needs of

If they have any sense at all, this whole platform is targeting ONE demographic: ESports.
