 Short version: My dad was on a family vacation in rural Oregon. He wasn’t old enough to drive yet, about 14 or so. At this point I think they had six sons with the seventh on the way. The family was heading south from Central Oregon.

My son did one day in an auto to feel what neighborhood speeds were like, but was all over it with a manual once he got the hang of it. He was Autocrossing and having fun so I bought an E36 328is for him to play with. I let him drive my caged 993 at a HPDE event after he was 18 as a graduation present.
