@xzibillion: Just did...it was in perfect condtion, but the sale price was high. I live in a city with a high demand for unlocked iPhones. Luck must have played a part too. I sold my wife's white 3GS for $425...no joking.

@classenmindy: Yeah, go figure. AND I had it upgraded to iOS4, so at the time, it was dead slow. It was in perfect condition though.

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.4: Yeah, you can't avoid it all the time. I won't rip the "swoosh" of my Nike's to make a point, but I won't buy, say, a t-shirt with the brand name vainly printed in huge letters on the front...or Facebook shoes.

I hate outerwear that blatantly promotes a product, even though at times it is unavoidable. I would not purchase Twitter shoes even if they were nice, and I actually had a Twitter account. I'm not a human billboard

Facebook outerwear if further evidence that they are taking over more and more aspects of our life, and are morphing us into the cyber-universe of Tron.

Now playing

@Shamoononon: No, but you could put one back into a tree with this... Please don't though. I like squirrels.

@916CALLTURK: But where is the Death Star. Oh...

@RuckingFetard: The first couple of versions of iOS, crippled my 3G and I couldn't downgrade. I unlocked it, sold it for $400 and got an iPhone 4. I've read mixed reviews, but more often they are showing a speed increase, but nothing like pre-iOS 4. So it is a trade-off between iOS 3 speed, or a slower iOS 4 but

@jdale: Google is still dealing with some lawsuits over the books, but some publishers are negotiating.

@Jack Skitt: Not sure, I'm just saying that I used to have a 3G running iOS 4, and it was virtually unusable.

@RuckingFetard: Yeah, or to make the 3G even slower to "promote" upgrades to the iPhone 4.

@talkingstove: I got your point and thought it was funny. The point of my comment was to suggest that if GTV is not as functional as originally intended, and people aren't buying it as a result, Black Friday weekend would be a good time to start a stealth fire sale. The price drop timing may not be a coincidence as

@tegz: Just curious...the major networks are still blocking it, so what benefits are you getting? Do you not watch the major networks, or from your experience is the story overblown?

@talkingstove: Unless the major TV networks have changed their minds and are not blocking Google TV anymore, it is a fairly neutered device.

Did Google think they are so powerful that they could strong arm the networks to play ball, or did they just not think of the possibility that the networks would say "nope?' Seems like this was doomed from the start.

@Juan R. Pérez: Let's collaborate on Facebook and get this done!

@ivan-the-terrible: When it is released, probably it will bring more doom and gloom for 3G owners.

Great. Now I can unlock my wife' s 3GS, sell it, upgrade to an iPhone 4, and start the cycle again.

Pretty soon Facebook will be like Tron. One can live a life inside it.
