I would normally say it is not a good idea letting a 12 year old out alone with an Apple product. Everyone wearing those white earbuds is a target for a mugging. In this case though, I must say that is an impressively smart little girl.

@nichow03: Now you're freaking me out.

@medopal, medohack: I suspect AltaVista is now used by so few people that it is running on a PC built from parts purchased at Fry's and is hosted in a closet of their only employee's bachelor pad.

@philselmer: I believe BP is currently in the process of falsifying quality test reports and back-dating them. We probably won't know who to blame for a couple of more days.

The vampire TV ad for Bing scares me, so I use AltaVista.

@Sublethalend: I guess Halliburton is run by cats who did their math wrong, and concluded that they were still good to go at 9.

This was reported in May, but the presidential commission finally released a statement.

Come on, this isn't possible until at least Stardate 2258.42.

It's creepy in a way, seeing a picture taken that actually had other people and objects in the frame when taken, but they are basically "invisible." A very early version Photoshop I guess.

@siwex80: True. I may have strayed, but this whole AT&T thing is a peeve of mine. They suck, but I like the phone.

@siwex80: O2 was my carrier as well. I tried T-Mob for awhile, but even though they are a good network, being limited to Edge kinda sucks.

@joule79: I remember when the iPhone 3G came out, the big story was how expensive it was going to be in France because law there requires phones to be offered unlocked. But that was before Apple started offering the iPhone on multiple carriers.

@pixelpushing: I think the contract with AT&T is up, or about to expire isn't it? I agree in principle though, but here's a different scenario:

@Clashwerk: It gives Apple even more power to block certain carriers.

I can't see Apple being motivated to make it easier for iPhone users to change carriers. If that was their intent, there would not be the need for ULTRASN0W, and they wouldn't limit carrier unlocked phones sales only to countries that legally require it.

@Dezerus Richardson: I'd be pissed if after my 12 month warranty ran out, my SIM craps out, and I need to buy a new phone because it can't be removed.

@whatne1wuddo: And would "cutting the carriers out of the purchasing process" mean that iPhones would be unsubsidized? It seems to me that there needs to be co-operation with carriers to get phones subsidized, and millions of people aren't going to spend 800 Euros for a phone.

@jeff4: So enough Catholic extremists just go on a long haul flight, each bringing the maximum amount of carry on liquids, combine all of their resources in the air, and then they have their bomb.

@Bant: Electric Burger: Android is getting more fragmented with each new phone, but if this thing is a decent size (i.e. not as big as the PSP GO) it could be a winner Sony has long been waiting for, and would further cement the credibility of Android. With a solid build, and decent usability, I could see it selling

I don't know what happens because Google Chrome won't play the video.
