Lovitz.
I sometimes wonder about how surreal it must feel to have your family shit dramatized. Every family has shit but to see it on a TV screen and know millions of others are seeing it too would mess my shit up.
CINDY AND SCOTT ARE NEWLYWEDS!
I can’t decide who had the better cameo in this movie: Steve Buscemi...
Also, of course this movie was set 13 years before its release. If that were done today we’d be seeing a loving tribute to 2006.
The jokes about how virtually every important cultural event of the 80s seems to be happening in this movie’s version of 1985 is actually something I enjoy.
This is probably Sandler’s best film (outside Punch Drunk Love) but damn I hate that Flock Of Seagulls joke. He has the haircut, we get it. We don’t need him to say apropos nothing “do you like Flock of Seagulls?” You don’t need to scream at the audience “HEY EVERYONE, HERE’S WHAT WE’RE REFERENCING! DO YOU GET IT?!”
Wrong sport BUT:
Thank you! Second week on the job and I’m having the time of my damn life over here. Wait til I get fully into the swing of things. You guys are gong to get SO FAT.
This is funny yet sad. Allison, you are bringing some good stuff to the blog.
Guns - BANNING THEM WON’T WORK!
I think something similar when I watch scenes of women lotioning themselves up before bed.
I feel like this article would land better if Jezebel hadn’t also posted an article yesterday night that kind of mocked her for this. Different writers, I know, but still feels a little inconsistent.
If it makes you feel any better, Jennifer Aniston’s great skin is 99% down to a.) superior genetics and b.) incredibly expensive and invasive celebrity skincare procedures that normal people cannot access (much less afford).
My guess is that the team agreed to it while thinking about how they’d just ignore the agreement & then get away with tearing up the deal. You know, like how an NFL team deals with its players.
I usually put it in a zip lock bag, flatten it a bit and freeze it. Then you can just break off a bit as you need. This works even better for cans of chipotle in adobo, which I never use a WHOLE can of in a recipe.
A very American solution.
