One thing I always bring up with the movie is the line "I activated it 35 minutes ago." Having Ozymandias tell them about his plan after he's already carried it through is a brilliant subversion of a boring trope, but having him tell them right before he's carried it out is just engaging in that trope, even if he does…
I TOOK TWO FUCKING TYPING CLASSES IN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Man, I used to work for Starbucks and one thing I thought was hilarious ("hilarious") was that they would proudly state that 75% of their coffee is obtained through "ethical farming," to which I was like, "right, so… 25% is explicitly unethical."
WERE YOU HOLDING DOWN SHIFT WHAT THE HELL THAT'S CRAZY
CAPITALISM IS THE CURE
Haha, man, I watched Hook for the first time semi-recently, and while it was not really good, I have to admit that I kind of got amped when Marbles was like "Got to fly, got to fight, got to crow. Got to save Wendy, got to save Jack… Hook is back!"
Ah, pun threads, the worst possible form of comedy. I like that the idea is you make a joke so bad, it loops around and becomes funny again, but really it's just brutally unfunny. They're not so much jokes as tragedies.
Yeah, I get it. Like I said above, I just want fair and thorough investigations.
Man, now I'm imagining Cookie Monster on L&O.
jesus christ man, are you writing a fucking novel?
I'm not, like, real informed on this subject, but I think these are two totally different kinds of cases. In cases where it's a total stranger raping a woman, the cops are more likely to find some guy (probably black) that they don't like and be like, "yeah, he looks like he did it."
Damn, that is sharp.
The percentage of false accusations is pretty small (men are more likely to be the victim of rape than be falsely accused of rape) and anyways, it's not like I was suggesting they just throw Cosby, or anyone, in jail, but that the police should take these cases seriously and run thorough investigations (which they…
I'd also like to just add that the idea women go around accusing celebrities of rape to make $$$ is already a lot of horseshit. Police barely take rape accusations seriously when they're not against people who have millions of dollars in the bank.
Good question, does anyone know the likely-hood of 13 different women getting together and fabricating a series of false accusations in some convoluted and incomprehensible plan to make money??
yeah i know :(
shh when is idris elba gonna play bond
There wasn't even a joke here.
The only thing I know about Deerhoof is that Michael Shannon loves them and listens to them on his discman, which I learned from a random rules on this site.
