How about a proof of ownership test for scrapyard dealers? If you can prove the vehicle the cat came from was yours (registration), then you can sell it. If you can’t, you are SOL. 

When I watch movies (especially at home), I’m a continuity hawk. When things don’t look right from one scene to the next, it really, really bothers me.
