they did it to keep speeds down in the event of needing to use rain tires
Am I the only one not optimistic about this road course? It’s hard to tell with only one car, but it doesn’t look like there will be any good passing areas. This looks to be a track position/fuel strategy race from lap 1. I’d love to be wrong, but I’m not optimistic.
He’s wadded that car up 2 or 3 times at this event over the years. It’s been on its roof more than once. This guy is known for staying in the throttle waaaaay too long and letting it all hang out at this event.
Lightning McQueen would have just jumped over that shit.
I wanted to share this, from Doug Coby, driver of the #2 modified:
That’s what happens when you cost cut and take away all of the local support. For this year at TMS, they fired all of the local race track safety support team’s and brought in an outside crew. From what I understand we weren’t the only track where that happened. I was one of the rookies with only 4 years experience.…
I am part of the infield security team for races at Richmond. Although I don’t know about other tracks, I know the ambulances used at Richmond this year are completely different than ones used in the prior 8 years I’ve worked at the track. Prior to this year, all the ambulances were different local volunteer squads…
Shouldn’t locals be the ones who aren’t getting lost?
I think just her presence was good for the sport. Of course it would have been better if her results were better but I think her absence will be noticed. Losing Dale Jr. and Danica at the same time will have a big impact on the sport. Those are the 2 names even non fans know.
The ultimate storm chasing vehicle, a rental.
Few things:
That part has been around, and for some retarded reason, that’s what news outlets push. They hide the actual new rule which is the sealed engines that get run for 2 races instead of just one.
Thank you, Andrew, for keeping an open mind. In that same vein, I still watch the the new bikes built outside of America.
Thanks for writing a good article, Andrew. I only got annoyed reading the comments. My bad. I guess they all missed the whole article.
