Crybabies gonna cry. Some people are so negative they bitch about the things they actually like.
Nine times out of ten they will. They will also continue to push MOTD. Free Roadkill and Dirt Everyday is what draws people to MOTD.
they asked me to turn off ABP once ‘to support the media’... i tried. the significant lack of porche ad’s makes it all worthwhile to keep it on.
Damn, this is the saltiest post in the History of Jalopnik. Did your girl break up with you? Dog die? Run out of pizza rolls?
I don’t watch every race but If I’m bored on a Sunday ill tune in. This was painfully obvious from the 5 or 6 races I’ve watched this year.
TBH, I thought I was going to hate/dislike the stage racing. I was surprised at how much stage racing punched up the tension. Drivers actually race in the middle of the race now instead of sliding back to stay out of the wrecks. It’s hilarious to me to see Truex Jr. with all those playoff points, and seeing Jimmie…
I’m glad to see this and think it will be good for the Xfinity series. The last race in Iowa was a great race! There were no Cup drivers in it because they were in Pocono.
Everyone is mentioning money as a reason but I also see other reasons why the compete. Besides money they also benefit in the Monster Cup because they get to run on the race surface a day before their race and get to pick up o settings and such that could carry over to the Monster Cup. So not only are they gaining…
28 of 33 Xfinity race weekends coincide with the MEN Cup series. 20 years ago it was 17 of 30 Busch race weekends that coincided with the Winston Cup series.
At the start of the season, on your NASCAR license, you have to select which of the three main series (trucks/Xfinity/Monster) you want to earn points in that season. A full time Xfinity driver getting pulled up to sub for a few races doesn’t disqualify him from Xfinity because he isn’t earning Monster Cup points at…
I’m halfway through the Baja Bug bit and so far, my only thought is Fichtner seems a little too good as host. He’s a very good actor, and this seems more like acting than personality so far. At least he knows how to drive stick, which is better than Adam Ferrara on Season 1 of TGUSA.
That makes sense. The Banks housing’s intake port has the same area as its turbine outlet. The Garrett housing has a .83:1 aspect ratio, which means the inlet port is smaller than the outlet. Aspect ratio isn’t entirely intuitive. The 1:1 ratio flows more air, is less restrictive at the inlet. Somehow that translates…
Yeah, sometimes it’s amazing what you can get a dyno to say when you set everything up just right. If you add correction factors for sea level and only go for max power you can have some impressive numbers, but might have a lousy curve.
277 without any accessories, no cooling fan, an electric water pump, using headers with no exhaust system, and stripped of its emission controls, on a carb instead of fuel injection.
Four Cup Championships in this picture.
Why would he just stick to just sports necessarily?
I, for one, would be all about curling if Earnhardt was the running commentary. Please, NBC, make that happen.
I like the once a year dirt race for the Trucks only. Its unique enough that I look forward to it every year but its not diluted to the point where its just another race. The only thing that could make this race better is to have Fox Sports not consistently fuck up the broadcasting of such a race.
