I guess she’s not affiliated with Ford anymore so any available ride will be an option. Still, for a team to get a pit crew, crew cheif, etc. plus a two cars (primary and backup) it’s not a small endeavor for the car owner. Plus, with the charter system it’s much harder to get a car in the field. It’s hard to boot

For a one-off race I don’t disagree. She’s bound to get lots of TV time. However, if she could still pull in sponsors in a big way she’d hav full time ride for next year.

I’m a Gordon fan, but when I think of recently retired NASCAR drivers that I want to see throwing production cars around a test track I think of Tony Stewart. More entertaining personality as well.

Soooooo who’s car is she driving in the Daytona 500? A second RPM car? A 3rd Front Row car? I don’t know as much about Indy Car but I know rides don’t grow on trees.

Now playing

Pretty cool moment for a pretty cool family.

Wow, just watched that interview. Yikes. That’s not how you present yourself and win over new fans.

NHRA 2017 US Nationals Qualifying. Pro Stock cars did a sanctioned burnout contest. If you want to see gnarly burnouts, that’s the place to go.

Most (if not all) trucks like this have powerglides and rachet shifters, much like a drag car. So yes, Lots of shifting and pedal pushing at exactly the right moments here.

Elliot was fast. Faster than Hamlin most of the day. I think it was desperation and Hamlin knowing he wasn’t going to get another chance to get this close.

To my eyes, he got on the brakes, then eased up on them to get to Chase’s bumper. You see the nose dive on his car, then he doesn’t slow down as much as the 24. It was a bump and dump for sure. He wasn’t fast enough to bump and run in the center of the corner (where it’s acceptable) so he just punted him.

Then I’m fairly certain this $200k Mustang has the same suspension concept as my Crown Vic.

You’re right! I had forgotten about that.

Dude can drive. He improved in every start in the 43 this year. Glad he’s getting an opportunity.

I use extra cc’s to compensate for my tiny penis. You use blindingly yellow paint. Everybody’s got their own thing. Agreeed?

I crossed shopped a Ford Flex and a F-350 Powerstroke last week. Both would be used for road trips and some towing. However, just because I crossed shopped them they don’t automatically belong in the same category.

I agree with you on that point. Having DCT in your flagship bike can definitely help sell it on the rest of your line, just because of the attention it will draw.

Harley’s aren’t the only ones. All the big touring bikes (Yamaha Venture, BMW 1600, etc)

You don’t. They made a 1300cc that was perfectly adequate. The 1800 was simply for bragging rights and an extra 25 horsepower and 30 lbs ft.

I ride. Have since I was 16. For commuters, the NC700 is the bike to get. Some folks use them as adventure bikes as well. The Africa Twin, with it’s huge aftermarket, is a great option for people whether or not they take it off road. I’ve seen several in the wild that were set up with road tires and used as touring
