Looked it up, and it seems like the author Konomi had stated in Twitter that the chocolates are donated to various institutions and non-profit organizations after they’ve been counted.
As a compliment to the fans, he added that the characters each take a bite out of them before they’re sent. Nice way of handling

It’s not really “for” the characters though, the people who send it in are generally (if not all, I hope) completely aware these people don’t exist. It’s for the staff, a thank you for creating something they enjoy and care about, and showing then how much people enjoy the stories and characters. I see your point in

“Games as a service” is the worst thing that happenned to videogames in the whole history of videogames. You know, I’ve been gaming since the days of pong, and gaming has always been a big part of my life. And maybe there’s a part of me that feeds on nostalgia. But I’m being drawn more and more towards older games,

Yep. It’s been interesting talking to my brother about all of this. He’s flabbergasted, whereas I’m just “This is not new stuff.”It’s been interesting talking to any of the men I know, actually. It’s almost humourous (except it’s not at all).

Loot boxes are your reward for leveling up so either the cosmetic items are heading and we shouldn’t care about them, giving Overwatch the worst reward structure ever, or they’re incredibly motivating and just as bad as these. May not be pay

I think you forgot one? the RPG

“People don’t like to admit they’re able to be manipulated because it destroys our idealised conceptualisation of free will, which is why people are loathe to support rules to limit this kind of thing.”

I think the Amazon echo does this no? You can rename the activation command?

Yay for attaining basic functionality.

Valve is dead as a gaming creating company

The White House judges nominees on the merits of their character

i’d say “comic book logic,” but Pete pointing out that they weren’t wearing helmets when he beamed them did take me out a bit, yeah. those guys are dead.

lmao the responses to this

Remember how Batman doesn’t kill either, but goes running bad guys over with his Bat-tank and shooting ‘non-lethal’ canisters into their faces. Killing seems to have a very odd definition in superhero games.
