Ummmm… slinky-dog, Mr. Potato Head, Barbie, green army men, Etch-a-Sketch, Speak & Spell, troll - off the top of my head.

They have to translate it.

"It's a miracle… that M. Night keeps getting work!"

You'll find a lot of hate for them around these here parts but I dig some of their stuff. I really like Dustland Fairytale and Be Still.

You reminded me to watch it again. So awesome.

That Parks and Rec clip is now just super depressing. Incredibly well-prepared woman squares off against a know-nothing… and there's no happy ending.

"More like Tales from the Gyp't! Hehehehehe."

Wait, are you reacting to that line or saying that line is attributed to Jesus Christ. Or, more accurately, about Jesus Christ?

Seriously. I can't tell if she's into it or rictusing through it.

"Oops! I forgot to tell a joke!"

This reminds me of that episode of The Office when Pam goes on a date with a cartoonist from the local paper.

Truly the hardest working man in show business. He was always upping the ante and competing against his past self.

*John Krasinski's career looks at camera and shrugs*

Did anyone see the movie Tron?
No.

Yes… I mean, no.

Points!

This is really good analysis. I don't watch this show, but I was thinking about the Simpsons "Who Short Mr. Burns" Part 1 and 2. Yes, it was a different era but I remember both episodes being fairly solid and the summer-long contest put on by Fox. I don't remember being annoyed by that. I wonder how much of the blame

Yeah, I had to close the office door.

"but they can't fail forever"
Why not? They've crashed and burned before (and recently) and at no point did they kick out the anti-intellectual wing of the party.

I said/thought that too, but only because my friend busted out his NES recently and we discovered how unbelievably hard/not fun most of the games were.

No Contra, no sale. Because it was our one and only Nintendo game (not joking) my brother and I could beat it with original three lives, no continues. We didn't even know about the Konami code until later. This is what happens when you own ONE videogame, you memorize it.
