Excelsior.
I'm saying that she's not that great an actress. Most of the others on the show have done good work even with iffy material. She hasn't. Perhaps with better material she'll do a better job, and with a role other than "Woman who Barry moons over", she'll be able to show her chops, but frankly, it isn't solely the fault…
She's not a very good actress. She's been getting better over the course of the season, and she's been getting moderately better material, but it's a fair criticism.
I see your point. However, since he's not saying that her father should be recast, it's likely that any such move would involve another POC.
Actually, because she's a POC and a woman, I'm doubly annoyed at how the show's writers have treated her. Don't blame the reviewer for pointing this out.
Perhaps, but it seemed an odd choice to put him on stage in the first place, then.
I'm pretty sure that he was also at the nadir of his drug addiction at that point.
Unless there's a splashy exit (like Wiig), expect to hear it in bits and pieces over the summer.
Metaphorically, that's essentially what standup is.
With one person, they've lost half of the remaining population of Springfield. No Mr. Burns, no Flanders, no Smithers, no Principal Skinner, no Reverend Lovejoy…..
First time that I've disagreed this strongly with a review. I thought that it was one of the stronger episodes of the season.
That wasn't how it happened in the comic book at all.
Obviously not a Unitarian Universalist.
Mom always liked him best, dammit.
That's my thought. If they lose a core family member, Harry Shearer, or Hank Azaria, the show is over. With either of the last two, they'd be losing half of the town.
"…I'll remember that name…."
…Bazinga?
Half of these seem to be "Things that I might actually enjoy, but I will never have in my life because I'm unable to separate creative works from various annoying people who have enjoyed the creative works, and I'm too petty to realize that."
