Sony 2002: “Hey Sam Raimi. We’ve never made a superhero movie before, so you just do your thing.”

It’s a different ‘60s, a different universe in the multi-verse, not 616 (or 199999 or ‘the sacred timeline’ or whatever we’ve been watching). That’s what they’re talking about with the different retro-future skyline and everything.
Captain Planet:
One wonders, sometimes, if a movie is initially written to be based on a franchise, but then can’t get the license, and then attempts to retool as an original property. I’m still fairly convinced that Real Steel was the “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” movie.
IF is an original, big-budget Hollywood release
“All this is why pretty much every staffer and fellow member on the Hill thinks she’s a joke”.
“Eternals but good”
Why am I supposed to hate Kro again? Because he wants to kill off the immortal genocidal robots brainwashed into wiping his people off every planet by evil space gods?
Eternals the movie was good. Ridley’s show might have also been good, but it would have had the budget of Inhumans, which is bad.
I think everyone should stop trying to make Jack Kirby adaptations make sense for people who don’t know Jack Kirby’s source material and just put up a disclaimer before the movie or series saying, “For most of you this is going to make a lot more sense if you’re high.”
I’m one of those weirdos who actually thought Eternals was pretty good, or at least decent and pushing the edges of what the Marvel template could do. There were also bits of it that simply LOOKED much better than basically anything else in the Marvel portfolio. I would take a complicated semi-whiff like Eternals any…
Recast and move on. Marvel spent the last few years of their narrative on building a Multiverse where anyone and anything can happen. Like, for example, a movie where three different actors all play the same character and interact with each other.
I would also argue that Eleven lived on Trensalore for, like, a thousand years or so.
Having dual Doctors available just makes it seem like The Beeb isn’t committing to Ncuti Gatwa. If they want to keep doing multi-Doctor crossovers, they already had time travel as an option. How can we miss Tennant if he won’t go away?
If Gatwa is as interesting as the 15th Doctor as it seems he is going to be, I would absolutely love for him to be around a LOT more than 3 seasons.
I look forward to The Marvels showing up on Disney + so some of you idiots can watch it and realize it's actually very good then shut the fuck up.
They didn't die, the portal went to the White Hot Room.
I’ve read it and loved it! It’s great storytelling, actually suprisingly well plotted, and a great use of the original idea by Claremont.
I am not trans, so my opinion is not worth shit, but i liked the scene because it was a subtle way of telling us she’s trans. Not subtle for trans people, of course, but for cis people unfamiliar with deadnaming, it can go over your head. It went over mine, until the grandma started talking and I out two plus two…
Just keep saying “hulking” like you aren’t telling on yourself.
