Have no fear. He’s there - in the upper left, behind the Triplicate Girls.

They’re all over Twitter, if you’re really interested.

FWIW - In the 70's in Texas, that was a thing. At the beginning of each school year, you had to get your parents to sign and return a form that either allowed or did not allow the school yo use corporal punishment.

Mostly because there was no internet, Youtube or easily accessible bootleg copies back when The Neverending Story came out in 1984, which means that both Dustin & Suzie had to have independently gone to see the film multiple times in the theater, in order to learn the entire theme song by heart.

Yeah, he’s not wrong on that.  You’re right, this is actually a pretty good review.

Same. The god-damned same.

1) The Bean - I have NEVER been by the Bean when there are less than 50 people around it. And there is nothing around it to begin to shield your wacking. I submit that it is relatively cum-free.

My stepmother got LIVID with me at an Indian restaurant when I started eating with my hands.  And I had fucking been there three times at that point.

Shit. I did exactly the same thing with the exact same results when I was in sixth grade for a series of assignments on Thomas Jefferson.

This was at least his second time at the Comedy Cellar alone talking about this. He did a pop-in with this material at the 7:00 show on their main stage on Friday, 18 January (I was there). Definitely a rough draft piece then, but a solid start.

One thing they need to keep in mind is that to legally marry in each of the 26 countries is not actually possible. For example, Canada’s marriage license application form has a qualifying question on it, “Are you married in another jurisdiction?” Answering “Yes” was an automatic denial of the marriage license

I’ve lived on the north side since ‘95 (Lakeview, Uptown, Andersonville) and I’ve only ever seen one or two each season, maybe, in any of those neighborhoods.

Now playing

While the set and dancing was totally “Oklahoma,” the song itself struck me as incredibly close (like note for note close at the chorus) to “Me ol’ Bamboo” by Dick Van Dyke in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Thanks for the bump.

IheartWesties - I’m pretty sure that your mom’s cousin is my mother - she just told me that story a few months back. I think there was a family get together in Branson a few months back were this may have been shared. I don’t know how to PM or contact posters here beyond replies and even that isn’t working correctly fo

I’m pretty sure the state buys the annuity and assigns that to you. In the case of Illinois, where our budget impasse last year was blocking lottery payouts, that was for lump payments and the initial purchase of those annuities. Anyone who took the annuities before then wasn’t affected, I believe.

“sex-selective technology”?

It’s a stay only for a few minutes, not 20 - the cut to the loop is a few seconds after the piece ends and starts again, so it’s a little hidden. The dog (Bento, I assume) is actually listening to it, though.

Not that it matters (yet?), but Alex made the point that he is only transcribing his memories, but not translating - he needed someone else to do that because he doesn’t speak German.
