That’s Hope from the MC2/Spider-girl universe, not the movie version or Nadia/current version of Hope.
Fascinating article.
Much more likely that it’s an abreviation of an otherwise difficult-for-English-speakers name.
“I do not believe anyone behind The Real O’Neals has ever seen the city of Chicago.”

Isabella used to post on Usenet and the rec.arts.comics.dc group a lot. My recollection and understanding was that he claimed he was verbally promised that he had some ownership rights. Given that a) no creator got any such rights for any DC or Marvel work at the time and b) there was no written contract, it always…
Which is why the Dominators in Supergirl/Arrowverse don’t wear their comics flowing robes...
No, it was, at best, an attempt at a joke.
Even more serious answer? I’ve lived in Chicago and have never served on a jury, despite being called a number of times. At least twice, I’ve had the same situation as Obama - parties settled or pled out at the last minute. The odds of actually serving in Cook County are very low.
Bloodstorm is a vampire and we never saw her after that panel. She could bo (probably is) fine. They have a lot of story left to tell with her.
And I guarantee that you can’t predict it. In the ‘80's, I saw 180's in both directions with my and friends’ families. Ultra-religious (literally talking-in-tongues Pentacostals, in one case) that embraced their butch dyke daughter and uber-liberals who were super-accepting with the gays socially until it was their…
And some of us have been doing that our entire lives; just bad with names. but yeah, after the first, I think he’s having fun.
Byrne had a running series of letters in “Amazing Heroes” where he argued (basically, at a cloud) that telekinesis was the only scientific (aham) way Superman’s powers could work. Then, in Fantastic Four, the entire reason for the Gladiator story was to “prove” it. So when he got to the Man of Steel mini for the…
Valkyrie is not a new character. She’s been around since the 70's (albeit with a light complexion) in the Defenders. Her costume in the group shot (white with blue cape) is a (awesome) call back to one she wore briefly in that title.
I doubt Marvel wanting them back is just to spite Fox. Having a solid property with new characters would be really valuable to them. Unlike the X-Men, the FF could transition into the MCU very easily and it allows them to go broad with A-list properties rather then reaching down the list.
Sigh - I meant FWWM, of course...
That’s really strange, but I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks!
Exactly, she’s a decent analogue for Sue, but, not like Whitbrook is saying.
Ditto on the fruit bar carts, though they often have ice cream as well. We especially had them in Uptown.
Part of that is the population (most Hispanic) and part of that may be the streets are narrower up here, better suited for the carts than the vans.
