Chrono Cross is decent, just so long as you don’t go in really expecting a sequel to Chrono Trigger. The plot and character connections (which barely exist) kinda feel shoe-horned in and the battle system is almost entirely different (well, considering they’re both JRPGs). But it’s worth playing.
