It's been said countless times before, but Carrie Coon fucking rules.

Another project finished, another reminder of how much I'm going to dearly miss Laura Dern being on TV.

I love that episode for the bit where Scott tries to convince them that Smash Mouth's Astro Lounge album was "doing interesting things" outside of "All Star", only to play second-long excerpts from three different songs and immediately reverse his opinion.

I continue to love Cavanagh so much on the show, but his reappearance as Thawne in last season of The Flash when Barry went back in time reminded me how much I missed his delectably manipulative performance from Season 1. HR's working for me, but, oh man, does part of me yearn for another revisit.

Gaffigan was kind of neat to see in Experimenter last year.

Still missing a lot of things, but as of this point:

There are obviously a lot of other great contenders out there, but why isn't The Flop House in the official list of options for Best Podcast? Didn't it literally win the award just last year? The "Nothing But Trouble" episode is in the running for one of my favorite podcast episodes of the year.

Agreed that the use of "Faith" with Silence is hilarious, but I thought adding on The Witch to cap the song off was just as brilliant (especially the little pause before the parents clasp hands).

I really do love West Wing Weekly. I haven't quite been able to get back into it since the election, but I should be jumping back soon, especially now that they've covered "Noel".

It also becomes kind of funny again, because after capping off his filmography with a film they ended up enjoying, they decided to go back and review "The Buried Secret of M. Night Shymalan" and got frustrated all over again.

God, I often forget that Aloha was from this year. Tony Ochre's animation for the opening is just so good.

That last story is astonishing. I had a literal case of stopping on the sidewalk and shouting "WHAT!?!" as that reached its conclusion.

The Mortal Kombat episode is probably one of my favorites ever. The Christopher Lambert "Raiden" impressions always get me giggling, especially whenever Eric does the little Lambert chuckle.

Yeah, I was hoping to post the same thing about Blank Check. I re-listen to the M. Night episodes all the time, in particular. Plus, I love it when they crossover with people from Fighting in the War Room or Little Gold Men like David Ehrlich, Katey Rich, and Richard Lawson.

Extending beyond those of black ancestry, there's also Dev Patel as a Supporting Actor contender for Lion. Also Pablo Larrain as a contender for Best Director for Jackie.

I'd probably throw in Mad Max: Fury Road, Skyfall, Gravity, Interstellar, and the Dark Knight Trilogy as also being up there.

Not too huge on him in Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire, but I remember really enjoying his work in Half-Blood Prince, and in the final conversation with Harry at "King's Cross", he actually pulls off the heartwarming parental aspect of Dumbledore quite well. Just the right mix of gentle aloofness and warmth.

Definitely Season 5, which won the Emmy for Best Drama and got 24 some of its highest ratings.

I like a lot of Season 7's first half or two-thirds, but the twist with Tony's character didn't quite work for me and I was annoyed when they ended up killing Jon Voight off so they could reveal the big conspiracy headed up by Alan Wilson, who was introduced way too late in the season and was therefore difficult to

I'd go 5>3>1>2>4>LAD>7>8>6.
