My wife and I have always loved watching Jacques, ATK, Lydia’s Italy, Simply Ming, etc. Ming Tsai is coming back soon!

the PBS shows are just so much better than the food network stuff if you actually want to learn something. Jacques Pepin, Julia Child, Americas Test Kitchen, Milk Street, Lydia Bastianich, Diane Kochilas, Vivian Howard, Kevin Belton, Ming Tsai! Man there’s just so much goodness packed in there. If Alton Brown found…
I don't even know how this is clickbait. The headline poses a simple question.
No, but that does sound good. Or subbing in something similar to gyro meat seasoning.
Kind of, there’s a reason Chiavetta’s exists, and Chiavetta’s is good, but the homemade super basic marinade mix I noted is historical outside of them. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/cornell-chicken-barbecue-sauce-upstate and Spiedie’s is another pretty large competitor of the same general product. But I…
I too made a lot of shitty decisions as a 19 year-old.
“I am Mizzou’s Black Friend”
This reminds me of a “why you should take a summer course” ad campaign at a Canadian university. There were four different posters used; the two with photos of white students had taglines with a “because you’re a go-getter” theme, while the posters featuring photos of minority students had a “here’s your chance to catc…
I am black and this is one of the few things that is so racist wrong it made me chuckle. “ I am a brother” underneath “ I am a future doctor” holy shit, nobody proof read anything before this was sent out.
They should post another one that says: “I am a former social media account manager.”
I switched to the Brave browser just for the GMG sites.
Seriously. Guilty admission, I read this site during work hours; during boring meetings. If I have something on Autoplay while I’m on a conference call, I’m not gonna be able to read this site.
I genuinely do not understand dry weddings. If you are a dry family, or have dry guests coming, provide a mocktail so it isn’t weird for everyone else. There will never be a wedding (except maybe extreme ones) where NO ONE drinks. I’m definitely including weddings where it isn’t typical in the culture to drink.
I would say the only rule of wedding planning should be: the bride and groom get to do what they want, however they want, and you are not obligated to attend/stay.
Every day is a newer and shittier development that is just blatantly putting the squeeze on some excellent writers and a (once) excellent site. Painful.
Yes, thank you. I’ve been continuing to visit the G/O sites because I like a lot of the writing and the comment sections (trolls and racists notwithstanding). But fucking hell has it gotten significantly worse over the last couple of months. Say it with me now, G/O:
How are you going to post this without including what your kid actually said?
I have an 11 year-old, nicest kid in the world. We hear often about how polite and helpful he is. Last year at a sporting event he said something ridiculously antagonizing to a fan of the other team and I had to jump in and 1. ask him where he picked up the specific trash talk (youtube), and 2. calm the other guy down…
