Oh no, it’s definitely a thing. A gross, disgusting, hideous thing. My cousin and his family (wife, daughter, stepson) ALL do this. Hell, they put ranch on fucking EVERYTHING. Needless to say, the four of them combined weigh approximately 6000 pounds.

Honestly I thought not including the Pats in the list was one of the funniest jokes Magary has ever (not) written.

It looks fantastic, but that’s still too much money for a civic that old with that many miles.

That’s the most perfect description of Pier 1 Imports I’ve ever read. I can remember jokingly looking at merchandise in there and going “Hmmm, I wonder where they ‘imported’ this from? Oh, CHINA.....very surprising....”

“Why would I buy this coffee mug at Walmart for $2.99 when I could buy it here for $45.00?”

Jesus Christ YES! Furniture salespeople are the worst! They NEVER leave you the fuck alone.

Just don’t smell the exhaust...

Yep. I own one. I love it. It does what it’s supposed to do remarkably well.

Yep. I’ve seen Doc fees as high as $800 freaking dollars at dealerships in my area. 800 bucks to fill in a form. Needless to say, I’ve never shopped at those places.

Yeah, you’d have to pay ME $10,500 to take it off your hands (for, y’know, the inevitable repair bills), but I gotta admit I’m kind of in love with that interior.

Its insane. Complete financial illiteracy. My wife and I combined make well over 100k/year, and I still balk at any vehicle over about 15,000 bucks.

Or sometimes more than their yearly salary :\

Bingo

“The Dolphins suck because somehow I consider beating the Jets and going 1-1 against the Bills a successful season.”

Jesus Christ

Agreed. I’ve been over Ferraris for at least 10 years now (can’t afford one anyway, but still). After reading/hearing about all of the quality and maintenance issues with them, unless you’re a multi, multi-millionaire I don’t know how anyone lusts after these temperamental primadonnas anymore.

The paint scheme and interior on this thing SCREAMS late 1970s. God I love it.

I think HD’s 2nd biggest problem (1st being the image) is that they have become a luxury brand masquerading as a blue-collar, everyman’s brand. It’s really a strange position HD has put themselves in. I know a whole lot of blue-collar everyman types, and, even if they wanted one, not one of them could afford a

I do seem to remember the swarms of reporters that covered it.

This was my exact reaction. I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt, like maybe the travel plans came up after he bought the car or something. Probably not though.
