Yeah that’s right about when the US figured out they could just use corporations and buy off foreign politicians to steal from other countries so they didn’t have to deal with the whole messy occupying forces business.

I’d argue there is a solid 10% of folks who will never vote for a woman as President. Now, most of those people are Republicans so it doesn’t matter, but polling suggests that Black and Hispanic men have this bias even more than white men, and the Democrats need all of the minority vote they can get.
