Classic rock stations would tend to disagree. I have been subjected to classic rock radio for extended periods of my life on many different occasions. Some voluntary, some not. I can identify most classic rock songs that have been in heavy rotation since the late 90's by the first 10 notes or less.

My sister, who otherwise is a very well adjusted, highly educated, fun to be around person, talks about celebrities/celebrity couples like she knows them.
