What is this “Democratic Party”? Is that like the Whigs? I feel like I’ve read about them but I can’t quite place their era in history.

When I first saw this on Facebook I was sure it was one from one of the shittier “satire” sites, especially when I got to the Scott Baio part. Every day we go further through the looking glass.

That’s the point

The problem though is that they end up with Fillon. He’s a terrible alternative. It’s too bad the french left would rather fight among itself than coalesce around a candidate.

Totally. The tea party didn’t succeed due to its numbers (or its hundreds of millions of astroturf $$), it succeeded because of consistently shouting a policy argument (one which Democrats did a terrible job of defending against).

The problem is no Republican has a reason to want to do anything. Trump is letting them enact a wishlist of policy that they had barely been able to dream of accomplishing before his election. What do they have to complain about?

In other parts of your life, when you encounter bad problems, how many of them are solved by moving on, versus addressing the problems? Cancer, unemployment, legal issues, poisoned drinking water, radon, stalkers, a bad furnace, ... are any of these addressed in any way by moving on?

Where was the concern? It was on TV and radio 24 hours a day for two years. The entire campaign was spent arguing about her apparent conflicts of interest, which in reality are so small as to be virtually nonexistent when compared to Donald Trump’s.

I absolutely agree!

If Democrats had learned that lesson, they’d have been denying him that mandate for the last month, instead of laying around comatose while Trump runs the media show all day long. I mean, he lost the election by nearly 3 million votes. If the situation was reversed, what do you think Republicans would have been

Agree. He didn’t want anything more than a good challenge, a purely selfish motive. At first last night, I was disappointed by his lack of character development - “so he spent 30 years just being a huge prick?” But in reflection I see the symbolism behind it. Ford and Arnold were essentially cynical about humans, and

God damnit, I read too fast and thought David Duke himself got pepper sprayed. What a let down once I got to the end of the article.

Am I the only one who saw this show up briefly in Facebood trending topics today? I was very entertained.

Just regarding shortstops - the shortstop balances the infield, not imbalances it. Two people on each side. Or am I misreading?

Wait, they go in that way??? Ive been squeezing lemons upside down this whole time?

Why is a 7 year old article being featured?

So are most taxi drivers, who already get fingerprinted. So what’s the big deal with having Uber drivers do the same thing?

But weren’t your friends just working a couple hours to make spending money, or whatever it is that I keep reading in the PR statements about drivers? Or were your friends actually depending on these companies for employment, companies who treat your friends like employees but refuse to follow any regulations that

I’m sensing a high degree of access and favor. Discretion not so much.

Even worse, my dad will interrupt just to argue that useless crap.
