I call BS. Those toys (and the clothing, TV in the background, etc) seen in the flashbacks are clearly supposed to evoke the 80s, yet the kids clearly have ‘97 “Special Edition” posters on their walls when they’re battling with flashlights. WHAT THE HELL, MARKETERS. GET YOUR TIMELINE RIGHT.

....but seriously, decent

Well, that’s the thing. Not only would no one do it, but even if they did, the impact would be sooooo much less. As mad as I would be if someone temporarily stole my phone and downloaded all the photos from it, I’d be way angrier at the website that chose to publish all of them and somehow thought that was fair game.

I kinda think the websites who disseminate this list are even worse. :/

That is so not the same. Because some gossip site misinterpreted what Kirkman said (she suggested it wasn’t about CK, and clarified on her podcast that she was not assaulted; she was talking about how sexism is pervasive enough in comedy that even people she still is friends with had at times made uncomfortable

You know, I actually watched all three Toy Story films back when the third one came out, and to my surprise (after not seeing them for a long time) Toy Story 1 held up better than 2. Sure, 2 is a great sequel, and has that really touching scene where the cowgirl recreats an ASPCA ad, but Toy Story has such a strong,

I don’t know. I’m a dude, and one who used to go to his therapy in large part because of the depression I felt about the rejection I felt and my romantic/sexual loneliness that went on for a very long time (which never crossed over into hatred of women or doubting feminist principles, for whatever that’s worth). At

Could you elaborate on the friend of a friend thing? Or provide a link? I believe you, but just hadn’t seen that that was the case.

There’s another one where she says the whole thing is “bullshit” and based on bloggers making assumptions.

Any comment? Kirkman is trashing Jezebel pretty hardcore right now.

I think the issue here is that these are JUST rumors at this point, generally shared second or third or fourth hand. The only real accusation we have in this case is one made by Kirkman and she’s been saying on Twitter it wasn’t about him in the first place. That’s definitely different from Cosby, or Bryan Singer, or

So, here is another one:

Seinfeld was married to her for a while too...once she was of age of course, but still. It’s creepy and strange, though depressingly common. I still like Jerry and more so his old show, but Louie isn't even the first possible creep in comedy that comes to mind for me

Would she go out of her way (in a separate context) to say he was an old friend, though? Bear in mind also, she made other denials of this and it seemed pretty clear she was talking about someone else (she also said that she had talked it over with whoever the culprit was and they’d worked out their differences, but

Also of note: she named Louie her favorite comedian a couple years ago:

She deleted some of the tweets in question but if you dig through her timeline you can see her referring to him as an “old friend” just recently (she fielded a fan question about whether she might appear on his show), and someone screencapped this from when she addressed that writer:

Jen herself has said this isn’t true. She probably deleted the podcast because it’s causing so much trouble.

If you need more grasps, she has also said on Twitter that Louis is an “old friend” and named him as one of her favorite comedians any number of times (all since the divorce) over the years. Also, she chewed out the writer of that Death and Taxes article on Twitter and blasted him for his “untrue” piece.

First off, this is awesome.

Second of all, I’m going to think of this every time someone says to lay off seniors because they can’t help whatever bigotry they have. Barring senility, even seniors can change for the better, like everyone else.

Jessica is my favorite current correspondent by far, but aside from her not wanting it I don’t really think she’s right for it. If nothing else, I’ve seen some of her other work outside of The Daily Show, and it’s not really political at all; I’m not even sure she’s that big of a follower of politics outside of TDS

The Real isn’t a Fox News show, any more than The Simpsons or Brooklyn Nine-Nine are. It airs on some local stations that are Fox-owned, and in syndication (including reruns on BET). So, as much as I love shitting on Fox News, it’s actually irrelevant in this case. It’s not a conservative program, as far as I know.
