A Black woman was the president at the time the hashtag came out, but Cheryl Boone Issacs had been lobbying hard for more diversity in 2015. When she left (or got the boot), a White dude became president, and now all of a sudden the diversity she wanted during her tenure pop up like it was a new idea. That’s messed

Splinter is what an alternative media bubble looks like. Divorced from reality, but with a core group of supporters willing to egg them on over the cliff regardless

They’re waiting for talking points from The Intercept. Or HamNo.

This. Like, the over all feel I get from his comments is that he’s “complimenting” Trumps ability to win over the dipshit anti-intellectual base of the GOP and fuck with the electoral system and basically democracy. I def don’t like him calling him the “greatest”. I get that he’s enjoying the disruption of American

Trump was not surprised, he patted himself on a back for job well done.

To all the Bernie Bros and Bots that told me the “the Supreme Court doesn’t matter” in 2016, I say Fuck You.

This is a saddening dose of reality. Even if the blue wave sweeps out Trump and the GOP, we’ll still be fucked for years to come because we have a Supreme Court that will gladly rule on the side of sexism, bigotry, and racism.

the best way to convince the only people who can fix this problem in an election is say “fuck you” to them.

“Centrist agenda” being what? Avoiding the Supreme Court (and lower courts) taking a massive hard rightward shift that will affect this country for fucking decades? Do you not realize that the courts have been the primary battleground for most of the most important social justice issues since probably at least since

So were back to the “civility” argument?  That’s worked out well so far has it not?

Now playing

And—once again for the cheap seats—appreciate that the female justices were there, asked the tough questions and ruled from lived experience. This is why diversity is important—not just a buzzword but a principle way which justice is applied evenly.

On Twitter, NARAL President Ilyse Hogue called the decision hypocritical, drawing a comparison between laws that force “doctors to lie” and today’s decision. “Make no mistake,” Hogue wrote, “they are setting the stage for a direct hit on Roe v. Wade.”

But hey, lots of people feel good about their votes in 2016, right? That’s what matters. When Roe falls in a year or two, you’ll still have that to hold on to.

How in the fuck were Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith (seriously, WTF, Mrs. Will Smith can’t get an invite until now), Damon Wayans, and Michael K. Williams not already members of the Academy?

They’re oddly silent on this article’s comments, for some strange reason. Shame, maybe? Or probably just because this doesn’t fit into their warped paradigm of Democrats being the source of all evil.

Are these memberships really only by invite? Because I would think that a lot of these people were already members. The Academy should still be ashamed.

Elections. Have. Consequences.

Fuck all you Bernie Bros. Fuck all you Jill Stein supporters. Fuck all of you “Hillary-and-Trump-Are-the-Same” idiots.

You get the government you deserve.

How you know me so well? Me the entire time:

Hi Breanna. I just know you were rolling your eyes typing this up lol.

Take away the money and you basically get the same thing I saw of every progressive white man on my Facebook timeline. When Bernie didn’t win, they were telling everyone to:
