Well it’s easiest for them to help their immediate families, because (ideally) they’d know the most about said families and how to save them. I’d imagine the rest of the world is a bigger problem that will eventually be tackled.

I’m optimistic about the show. Futurama took a bit to warm up, same with the Simpsons. Both show just needed to find their footing before taking off, and I think it’s the same with Disenchantment.

Not only do comedians have to live on the edge of good taste, they also have to try stuff out to see what lands and what doesn't. If an audience rejects something as over the line, it gets dropped. That's the process at work.
