I read somewhere that it has to do with the fact that HBO has a pretty crowded schedule and it would take time to find an open slot. Soderbergh just didn't want to wait around. Cinemax likely indeed saw it as a way of expanding it's brand.

And now there's another girl. Hooray!
This series is gonna play great to the people who can get all the trades in one go, whenever that is.
This is a little in the past, but I found it weird how issue 9 just yada-yada-yada'd Leeward's adventures with Captain Merry. I get not wanting to overstay your welcome, but it felt like a misstep to avoid adding detail to such a rich world.
But this was real life!
Saw her on the street once. She's a real pretty lady.
I was rendered as speechless as Stephen Fry in that scene. There's really nothing you can say to that that doesn't sound trite.
Totally was not expecting that Heller monologue. It's kind of sad that he and Jack never got to say goodbye either.
Can't wait for next season when Kate and Belchek team up to spring Jack out of that Russian prison!
That's when I remembered that he's a 50 year old man who's been through some hard times. The rage is the only thing that keeps him going, well that and Chloe.
Definitely check Zero out, it's very minimalist when it comes to exposition and can get extremely trippy with how it uses the spy genre to explore some really abstract philosophical concepts. The artist varies from issue to issue so that could be hit or miss, though I've enjoyed all of them.
I think it'd be a great twist if Kirk was instead playing a CIA agent who's actually working with the Abuddin government. The show could explore the reality of America propping up a lot of these Mideast regimes that are pretty distasteful. Then again I don't know if the show is interested in that level of nuance.
That's the thing. Pretty much every scene together I couldn't buy that they'd been together that long. You'd think these conversations would have happened a lot sooner in their relationship.
They did say it was known for it's beaches, so I'm guessing it's supposed to be similar to the Gulf States, maybe the UAE or Qatar. Especially considering how cozy the US diplomat was to the royal family. But it's still too vague, we don't even know if it exports oil.
There's definitely a missing scene of them bonding like bros on the ride over.
Hmmm, she's British and Adrian's British too. Coincidence?!?!?
"Thanks for the exposition tech-guy, now I'm gonna choke you out."
I'm just gonna assume that Margot's terrorist husband isn't really dead and he's pulling the strings somehow. It doesn't make sense, but I'm rolling with it.
Worst hitman ever.
At this point, why would anyone in the 24 universe want to be elected president? You're gonna die of some hilariously convoluted reason, and half the time the VP is behind it.
