Nice article. We actually got out kids some of the Sesame Street OLd School DVDs to provide some non-Elmo content.

I can’t imagine praying hours a day for your kid unless they had a serious physical illness, or they were torturing animals or engaging in other cruel / evil behaviors and you're concerned for their mental-well-being / immortal soul. Whatever your worldview is.

The minimum sentence for any illegal action that leads to a wrongful conviction should be ten years, or the numbers of years served in prison by anyone wrongfully convicted - added together.

If you participated, the only way you get back to the lower sentence? You help convict your co-conspirators.

There’s got to be

This coming from a group that had to self-insure, because the insurance industry decided that frats were only one place better than toxic waste haulers in terms of risk. They were about to become uninsurable when the national organizations decided to put together coverage. Coverage that protects the frat, but rarely

It the rate should at least be a hell of a lot higher than it is, and the threshold where it kicks in shouldn’t be as high as it is.

I’m with Warren Buffett on this one.

The Blu-Ray version of Casablanca is spectacular. I got the 70th anniversary collectors’ edition set at Costco last year for $25 (it’s normally $45 or so). It’s gorgeous.

Oh, geez. At least she didn’t attribute it to a “guardian angel”.

You mean when her division was underwriting billions in financing to new companies to buy Lucent equipment - and there was no way they’d be able to pay it back?

I like the donation idea. But what if they’re terrible to you and liberal? You might need to make a donation to a cause that makes you queasy if you really want to prove the point. Also:

Honestly, if I had an injury that could reasonably lead to some amnesia, I’ll consider using it as an opportunity to at least act like I no longer know certain people, even if I still did.

The notion that we’re looking to the White House is silly, frankly, there’s not much any American administration can do to control events in that part of the world. This is a great show - we’ve been watching it from the first episode. I was sold on it after watching the “first look” trailer from last May. It had enough of the slightly odd situations and the musical numbers to convince me that the show was a lot more than it’s title let on.

I read it the same way. It has a nearly identical word shape. Also, Ben Carson would be totally OK with being interviewed a best friend that only he could see.

Actually, I’d base it on who performed that surgical procedure the most often, assuming they’re maintaining a decent success rate.

You want a surgeon who does a procedure a LOT. It’s like a trade - the more often they do it, generally the better the outcomes. As long as the vast majority of their patients aren’t

You know, as nutty Overstock can be, they weren’t wrong about the naked short selling practices of the big investment firms.
