And what a game to lose yourself in, especially back then. One of those games I wish I could wipe my memory of and experience again for the first time. Fuck sleep, Patrick Stewart with his dying breath gave me a VERY important task and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let sleep get in the way. This world ain’t gonna

I wouldn't exactly call spending a few million on a house in a very nice area is helping others with your money.

Regardless of his politics, his hustle has been apparent for at least as long as I’ve known who he is. I like the guy, but he’s very much of the Twitch glitterati ilk whether his die hard followers want to hear it or not. Dude acquired some wealth and bought a mansion. I don’t see him bitching about having to pay

His new mansion cost before any fees and taxes 75 times the median wage in the US (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MEPAINUSA672N), almost 4 times the median house price in LA (https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2021-06-22/southern-california-may-home-prices-hit-record-is-a-slowdown-coming), and yet his response

It’s the same thing as the Chapo dipshits turning their podcast into a dollar shave club ad. Once you start making money you stop caring about your ideology.

There’s buying a house, which can be done “affordably” (in as much as housing can be affordable), and buying an actual mansion within walking distance of the walk of fame. I can see why even supporters might be mad at that, and the mixed messages it sends.

Fallout 3? I sleep.

Morrowind? Yes, please.

This is honestly an unbelievably amateurish response by this company, do they not have a PR department? They are basically napalming any chance of enthusiasts (and any joe schmo with googling ability) trusting their brand for anything in the future.

the vast majority of the enemies were business guys in suits, the last boss was some 80s boiler room CEO asshole. did you even watch the gameplay?

It means some men can’t handle the thought or reality that they are not in charge of everything.

That’s actually a real concern. He should go to jail but he shouldn’t be tortured and murdered which is what will probably happen to him if he goes to working-class prison.

TBH I’d be really happy if they just reused assets from GTA V to make these games in modern HD. They’d obviously have to make a bunch of new stuff too (particularly character outfits and some character models, and obviously they’d need to do a ton of lighting work), but they could get a ton of mileage out of the

Holy moley, take the L. “Eminently replaceable” is an extremely common construction, and is entirely correct. Stop looking up “eminent” - that’s not going to tell you the whole story.

While updated graphics would be nice, I find their aesthetic enjoyable. The only thing I’d love for them to fix is the combat - guns would shoot in an octagonal pattern around the reticule. I always thought that it was janky as shit for a AAA GTA game.

More people need to take this approach. Unless you pay me more, or if the work I’m doing is so serious that people literally depend on it—you get me for 9-5 and that’s it. After that, you can go kick rocks.

Come on... you’re getting schooled. Don’t be stubborn about it. Doubling down on your failure to properly use a dictionary and look up the word you’re complaining about is not going to help you.

While I imagine you weren’t going to veer in this direction, this reminds me of people complaining that people wouldn’t want to work because unemployment offers too much money. That sounds like less of a problem than the fact that people need to get paid far more for what they do across the board.

50k isn’t what the ActiBlizz folks are making. That’s the national average. From the numbers in the article, they’re making at most around 35k/yr... and they’re probably working/living in the most expensive cities where that 35k won’t cover rent.

From Merriam-Webster:
