Of course. Why wouldn’t it turn into a dog for a little bit? I’m really curious about 20-40% and 60-90%.

Imagine all those nervous hungarian gamers.

I don’t really see the distinction, I would say I agree with the way you see things. When I say they are actors I mean it in the same sense that you are using it. I don’t mean it literally (like mario has a wife and kids, but he drives to the studio to perform in a movie each day). Because it’s animated fiction, there

A decent number of characters from the later half of the video don’t have amiibos. Do you just have to keep playing through the 100 levels unlocking them one at a time randomly?

I think the most dangerous thing I saw when I was into ingress was a lot of people playing while driving. The developers tried to add measures to prevent it...but it was still more efficient to drive than walk through a downtown area hacking as many portals possible to build up supplies. Yeah you could walk and glyph

Reading those interviews you will see Miyamoto continuously refers to those professions as roles. This only supports his own view of them being a troupe of actors. Mario was never actually a plumber, but he did portray one in Mario Bros. (1983). He says “He’s kind of a blue-collar hero” as an expression that he often

Yeah I think football is a bad example because it has complex roles. Hockey, soccer, and basketball would work better. These games have simple roles and can be played with fewer than standard players (ie. 3v3)

In hindsight it all seems pretty obvious I guess. But other than the curtain, I never really thought about the other three things listed.

Yeah that was a really weird thing for them to write into the story. The mario games can still have stories and backgrounds, its just that Mario himself is only playing a role in those stories.

Rocket League prompted the same thoughts for me. It would be cool if more sports games let people play individual roles on a team.

Also I think the other lesson that should be learned is that it is good to have stupid hats, violence, and other bizarre effects. Basically the NBA Jam/Hangtime, NFL Blitz, NHL Hitz type

Miyamoto once explained that the characters in the Mario franchise are essentially a troupe of actors (similar to the looney toons or popeye). Mario isn’t really a plumber, doctor, transdeminsional super hero, golfer, etc. He plays merely plays these roles.

After the Majora Mask New 3DS XL fiasco it suddenly dawned on me that it was a really dumb thing to give a shit about. I will have my Red New 3DS XL and I will like it.

I never knew how much I needed a portable battery until I finally got one last year. It has been one of the most useful and practical purchases I’ve made in a long time.

I think they are the only 100 copies of the card. Being limited quantity will likely make them pretty valuable. He could sell them or give them to close friends. Either way it would be pretty exciting to control the supply of a card like that, not to mention it has his artwork on it.

Now playing

Your perspective seems to come from watching low level play with limited understanding of the game’s mechanics. Try watching something like this. All of the movement is pretty clean and intentional.

You cannot reason with a shopping frenzy.

Is this real life?

Beat me to it. I saw that and I thought jesus that is expensive.

Konami is a large parent company with many companies functioning beneath it. Konami Digital Entertainment is a company that makes games. Konami Parlor Entertainment makes pachinko and pachislot machines. What KDE is doing won’t really impact what KPE is doing. It isn’t like “Konami” is choosing to do one instead of

Kotaku has really managed to embed this notion that pachinko machines are a big part of Konami. Both Capcom and Konami have pachinko and other gambling machines...but they only account for roughly 5% of their revenue. Digital entertainment is still by far the largest market for both of these companies. Granted I think
