Gruden has the look of a guy who is totally going to trade Derek Carr for some magic beans and a gift card to Hooters in the offseason.

I’m almost positive the Bears won’t beat a team with a good defense or a great offense. The Rams have both and the Saints have a great offense. Minnesota’s offense is good but not great and their defense isn’t able to pick them up. If Minnesota’s offensive line wasn’t so shit, they might have done better last night.

Highly underrated kinja.

Sure. However, TV ratings on teams that have nothing to play for other than running down the schedule are lower than those in games that mean something.

More generic “we have to have black because the cool kids wear black” bullshit. I loved the teal. I loved the Buccaneers’ orangesicle unis back in the day. We need MORE dayglo unis on sports teams, not more black and other color.

This giant pudgy chode should have been gone at the end of last season. Losing Rodgers and having to endure the shit show that was Hundley was proof positive (as was the last time we lost Rodgers for a significant amount of time) that he is a terrible coach. Rodgers should not go through an entire fucking half of

It isn’t that lack of parity makes sports leagues unpopular, it’s that leagues with greater parity make it so that fans of smaller-market teams can stick with their teams longer. In the NFL, up until about week 12, there are likely all but 4-6 teams whose fans might expect their teams to be contending for a playoff

Counterpoint - I disagree with everything you said. VAR is fine and is much needed in the Prem. There was at least one game this past weekend that would have been changed pretty completely had VAR been in place because the refs got at least two calls SPECTACULARLY WRONG (Liverpool v Fulham).

That young man’s got some up’s.

As much as I hated Leicester sacking Rainieri, it really had to happen. They were completely adrift. It didn’t help him that they sold Kante the season after, as I think ultimately his presence is what allowed them to win the title. I think even he recognized that it wasn’t working with him there, and nothing he was

I’ve become somewhat torn on the whole issue of salary caps/luxury taxes and the other methods by which shithead owners continually drive down the cost of player acquisition and retention.

I think, given the state of his angry, bullying tone, the question isn’t how he was able to coach at Ohio State for so long, but how has he not been hired to lead Maryland’s football program yet?

Even better, the kid is starting to look like a world-class talent on the pitch. If Dortmund keeps him next summer, it’ll be a miracle or he will have gotten injured and been unable to come back as good.

Goddamn you, Drew. I now have that godawful synth facefuck orgy by Phillip Michael Thomas rattling around in my head like some kind of goddamn schizophrenic echo.

It’s the kind of roster you have when you don’t want to or can’t spend big, have been bad enough to get some decent draft choices or have traded enough to get some decent guys without ever hitting big on an MVP candidate or three. It’s the same kind of roster they will have forever if they don’t either tear it all

When your recruitment strategy is literally “two international level players at every position” and you have the money to pull it off, the bigger surprise is when you do not win the title. As a Liverpool fan, I still hold a faint hope that City will mess it up somewhere down the line but it is going to rely on the

I just want to know what the fuck the Pack was thinking trading Clinton-Dix. That is not a “win now” move by any stretch of the imagination, as they got rid of our best DB in that trade for not a whole lot. It certainly does answer the question of whether the new GM thinks signing DB’s to long-term contracts is a good

Wembley’s turf has always been crap, despite numerous renovations over the years. Thinking they could play a decent game on it 24 hours after an NFL game is just ridiculous.

Ahhhh, that feeling of futility a coach must have when he realizes he must bench his young, pussy-grabbing trainwreck of a turnover machine in favor of an older, more cerebral turnover machine that graduated from Harvard.
