Yeah I like Perkins’s recaps of “The Good Place” but I’ve long since given up on having any understanding of his SNL recaps. His opinions are so random they seem to be based on nothing more than how his most recent meal agreed with him. I’m not talking about the grade, but the actual content of the reviews. Anyone who

Can’t believe Perkins has resorted to setting up sock puppet accounts

Your Mom sounds awful but I can’t see how that supports your “don’t tell any woman she’s a bad mother” statement. If a stranger saw her hurting you and called her a bad mother...would they be wrong?

Shrug; you’re legally responsible for your employees behavior. That’s just how the system works

He should get money for his medical bills and missed time from work. The club was the woman’s employer and I’m guessing they have the money.

She does deserve time. I don’t see why he deserves a boatload of money though. Certainly don’t see why the club should pay him anything, unless she had some prior history of violence that they chose to ignore.

Get out, troll. Nobody says calling someone a bad mother is sexual harassment.

This is true, but there’s a much greater wrong in this case. It’s not like either of them did anything “right”.

Team Guy.

A million is too much in this case. He should just ask for enough to cover the dental work plus $10,000.

I’m usually on Team Stripper, but I’m sorry. You punched someone with a glass in their mouth and knocked a tooth out.

This is a perfect example of one of those situations where we as a people are reminded that laws are mainly there to protect property and money, not to uphold or even mirror morality or ethics. This woman should be a folk heroes throughout all the strip clubs in the land; she should be a cautionary tale for every dumb

Yeah, somehow I’m not okay with her hitting him, though he’s almost certainly an asshole, but I am okay with that dude punching a nazi in the face a while back. So conflicted!

It is wrong to resort to violence because someone says something you don’t like or insults you. Period.

You are spot on. Ferrell is a dedicated sketch performer who takes each tone to different level. Like Phil Hartman, his dedication to the sketch and the character makes it that much more funnier. This was one of the best shows of the year, thanks to Ferrell. This review and reviewer doesn’t understand that.

I was thinking about it this morning and the amount of character/costume/makeup/wig changes Ferrell made is pretty impressive. Usually they have cast-filled bits while the host gets ready for the next sketch and certainly they did have pre-filmed spots but he was in it all last night. The one with the plastic-y

Maybe toss in a virtually laughless self-created game show sketch about dealing with Trump to bump it up to a B+? You are correct, the grades definitely do seem intertwined with the wokeness level of the episode. The reviews really overanalyze this content as well.

I laughed out loud more during this show than the rest of the season combined (a lot of comedy amuses me more than makes me laugh). Based on that alone I’d have given this episode a solid A.

I know that it is within the realm of Kinja to have an actual commenter grade poll at the end of each of these. Every week I think that same idea. Might even garner more clicks.

Comedy is subjective and that’s fine of course but these grades straight up don’t make sense to me. I feel like I’d have a better shot at predicting the grade for a given SNL episode if I just threw a dart at a grading curve. It’s sort of bizarre. This was one of the funniest SNL episodes I’ve seen in quite some time.
