Yeah, there have been a few of those cases with video where you just have to shake your head. At the same time, you don’t really know all the details that were presented to the jurors. Cops do get convicted though, even in Oklahoma City. Here, in SF, I doubt they had a conservative jury since it takes real effort to

Do we know that? How do we know they were from “middle america” with “middle america prejudice”?

though that fact was there when juries in both criminal and civil cases found in favor of the cops.

No need to call them out. You can report people online at the CHP website. The program is called CHEATERS — Californians Help Eliminate All The Evasive Registration Scofflaws. According to the Merc in 2014, it brought in 3.2 million dollars from 2012-2013.

of course for them to have moved in, someone had to have moved out...likely making at least a million profit on the sale.

I’d report out of place licenses. CA law requires you to register with the DMV within like three weeks of becoming a CA resident.

But most of this is derived from cities being against development including more housing and on the peninsula, particularly against affordable housing.

all those places are in the city.

Hayes Valley is not completely turned over. Sure, Hayes and Octavia have turned around after opening Octavia Blvd. and Gough around civic center has seen a lot of changes, but as the SF Chronicle noted in a story about a 2015 shooting “Even today, those who venture one block in any direction from Hayes Street will

I’m not sure that Linkedin sleuthing gives you an accurate picture of people’s movements assuming they even found the right people (other than by looking for matching names with tech sounding jobs). Maybe they did just move to the city, but that also doesn’t mean they weren’t bay area natives. It is a bunch us

I agree that all cops should wear cameras.
Neito’s family just lost the civil case as well (12 days ago...and conspicuously missing from this story), which has a much lower threshold than the criminal investigation. Cameras may have changed this story, but may also have supported the police view of events.

maybe it has to do where the black neighborhoods are? Hunter’s Point vs. the Mission?

I’m trying to figure out exactly how gentrification ties into this story. There is certainly a racial element, but it suggests that only newcomers are racist. How long had any of the people Nieto encountered lived in the city? Was the jury a bunch of new residents (doubtful)? Were the cops?
I’m beginning to think that

Well it is Mark Geragos...why do celebs keep hiring him?

I don’t know the laws of Australia, but it seems unlikely to be sexual harassment. It is however, technically assault.

but at a much slower rate, which is probably why milk is generally ok for diabetics.

but a little wine helps baby sleep!

I think that raw has it’s own problems (whether goat or cow), but in general they seemed to be talking about people who use just goat’s milk as a substitute for formula, which lacks a lot of the necessary nutrients.

The sugar is the lactose right? I would assume that isn’t metabolically the same as adding a bunch of granulated sugar (or maple syrup)

and they must have known about at least some of it before the suit was filed for them to respond so quickly

thanks, that is good to know.
