but are they actual nazi insignia or fictional insignia of the nazi US?

ok, sure, but the Iowa caucus is Feb. 1 and New Hampshire is Feb 9. That isn’t much time for people to decide Trump is a buffoon.

Fair point about perspective, though I don’t think it is context-lite. I think it has been promoted fairly heavy and there are wall ads in the car for the show to provide some context to the bench covering. It isn’t really that recognizable as nazi imagery, which is probably why most people when asked just kinda

I would think the Jewish community would be very in favor of this show given the themes and the current issues in this country.

If it gets people watching, I don’t care about some controversy. This is a show everyone should watch.

it is rather remarkable how much this series ties into current events when it was filmed way before. Talk about winning the timing lottery.

well, if you have a slow baby.... (#mommywars)

sure, except for the part where she explicitly says that he might have died just the same at home, but that he would have been with her instead of a stranger.

Despite all of his shows focusing on cooks not from NYC?

thank you, that was helpful. I’m still a bit skeptical of the distinction between unknown and SIDS considering the definition of SIDS is “the sudden death of an infant less than 1 year of age that cannot be explained after a thorough investigation is conducted, including a complete autopsy, examination of the death

how do they identify it if the cause is still unknown?
[edit: I understand that the medical examiner can and should have a category of SIDS that they list rather than undetermined since it helps with tracking, but it seems to some extent to be a distinction only for that purpose rather than in terms of understanding

The source NYTimes article states that the medical examiner’s report gave a cause of “undetermined.” I think that outside evidence of suffocation or abuse, it is likely SIDS (probably tied to some poorly understood congenital issues). There may have been nothing that could change the outcome, or the day care’s

Yes, if we decoupled health care from employers this wouldn’t have been an issue (and would save employers a lot of money).

Yes, but she doesn’t explicitly blame them since the outcome could have been the same given that the cause was “undetermined”. The objective of her story is to shine further light on the poor maternal leave policies in the US, not that the Day Care did something wrong.

Normally I am forgiving of typos, but “payed” just seems to fit right in with your comprehension of the topic.

I’ve seen their show and they do play off for fun the, let’s call it independent, nature of cats. On the other hand, there are cat circuses in Russia that boggle the mind in terms of training and focus.

Before I got married I usually had to work close to Thanksgiving and couldn’t travel to family. So I made my own meal but went for decadent for one instead of bulk for many. Fillet and lobster tail chased by a bottle of premium bubbly. I kind of miss that these days since Turkey is not that tasty!

How many people walk by homeless people every day?

sure, but I’m also sure that most people in big cities see homeless people lying on the street all the time. Hollywood is particularly bad. Unless there (remember it was dark) indicators that something was really out of the ordinary most people who live in these areas become immune to the homeless.

I think that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me on a comment board :)
